Guardamar del SeguraMost famous for the long beach and sandy dunes which stretch for approximately 10km enclosed by pine forest and palm trees attracting an enormous amount of wildlife the area is now environmentally protected. Spa Baths – FortunaPools of natural spring water the baths are wonderful to swim in. The water temperature in the pools range between 29 and 38 degrees C. A relaxing experience that shouldn’t be missed. TorreviejaThe area around Torrevieja and Orihuela is famous for its salt production. The huge salt lakes can be seen on the roads down from Alicante along with the huge salt mountains producing annually more than half a million tons of salt. Torrevieja has an impressive harbour which is home to some 300 fishing ships and more than 900 private boats. The city is full of Spanish and European pubs and restaurants. The city is also home to a number of excellent golf courses – see our list of courses below. There are many opportunities to shop and tourist attractions include a great water park for all the family to enjoy. Terra Mitica – BenidormInspired by the five civilisations of the Mediterranean, this wonderful theme park will give you a taste of Egypt, Greece, Iberia and the Islands. There is a multitude of rides and attractions with over 20 live shows to choose from. The rollercoasters are a must for frill seekers including the gigantic rollercoaster Magnus Colossus. The many cafeterias, bars and restaurants will help you enjoy your day. Terra Natura Park - BenidormThe park is divided into four sections; Europe, Asia, America and Pangea (which means amazing volcano). Each area hosts a huge variety of different animals and lots of attractions. This park is a must see for every tourist especially for those with kids. Mundomar – BenidormMundomar is another great family day out giving you the opportunity to get a close up view of the most popular marine animals including dolphins (which put on a great show) and seals. Venture deep into the tropical forest to meet the funny talkative parrots, participate in one of the shows or hop aboard the glass bottom boat for a memorable ride. Aqualandia Water Park – BenidormThe park offers all kinds of water activities for all members of the family, there are shaded areas, cafes and restaurants, large and small pools.
